Ivan earned a gold medal and certificated today for knowing the sound that every letter makes. His teacher focuses on getting ready to read so he has been learning the sounds the letters make instead of their names. Pretty smart, can't read unless you know B says "buh". He has been doing great in preschool, a little slow at first but he is now learning really quickly. He will be ready to go to kindergarten this fall.

That is awesome. For at home reinforcement over the summer try the Leap Frog video, Letter Factory. Callen new a handful of letters before he started p-school last fall due to this. Awesome for kids, annoying for parents!
