"I'm too big for a nap"

Over the last several months Tyler has not been wanting to take an afternoon nap. You have to watch those naps though, some times they will sneak up on you!

Ryan's Birthday

We had two parties. One for the Metsker crew, one on his actual birthday and the Young side of the family is catching up with us on Thanksgiving. Talk about spoiled! So we had Elmo for one birthday and Cookie Monster for the next (they both met the same fate)
Can't believe my baby is one.

Halloween

I just noticed that I haven't posted since school started in August. Boy does the time fly! Just thought I would take the chance to post Halloween and Ryan's birthday pictures plus a few candid shots taken over the last couple of months.

First day of School

Before School/After School

Ivan headed off for his first day of kindergarten on Monday. He is loving going to recess, having chocolate milk at lunch and seeing his friends. Since he gets on the bus at 7:02 and isn't home till after 4:00 he is a little tired when he gets home. His teacher's name is Mrs. Case and she has taught for 23 years and has an awesome room. Its been a little hard on mommy to get up at 6:30 but Tyler jumps up and demands to be dressed so he can wait for the bus too.

Ivan's Birthday (a month late)

June was a crazy month! Ivan had a great birthday party with lots of friends and family. Lucky kid has the perfect time of year for a birthday. Just in case you are wondering about the cake, we had a Transformers birthday and that is the symbol of the Autobots. No frilly girl cakes for me! Ivan got lots of fun stuff to play with. We are now addicted to Mario Cart and are glad the weather is good enough for the pool. The sleeping bags have been used a few times and we have enjoyed all the new toys. I'd post video, but am missing the cord I need to get it off the tape and on to my computer.

Firecracker Fun

We had a whole $6 worth of firecrackers, but that's about all the fun a 5 year old and 2 year old can handle. You've got to see the video to fully appreciate it. Hope you all had a fun 4th of July. We went to Ben and Tami's for lunch and the kids played in the pool, then watched fireworks from the porch after milking.
